I'm a 21 y/o student from Southern New Jersey. Very involved in the queer religious community. I'm serve as co-convener of MoSAIC: Methodist Students, Seminarians, and young adults for and All Inclusive Church, and am also on the Board of Directors of the Reconciling Ministries Network (RMN) which is a grass-roots non-profit organization working for the full inclusion of GLTBQ persons in both policy and practicy within the United Methodist Church. My undergrad major is Philosophy and Religion (they've recently merged the program, previously I was a Philosophy Major). I do plan on going to seminary and seeking ordination, but I haven't quite made up my mind on if I will remain within the UMC or move to a more accepting denomination. I am sure there will be more of that drama in the actual journal. If you don't already know me well, or are getting to know me, or want to get to know me, please know that my religiosity probably doesn't match what you think it would...I'm a pretty liberal Christian...some would say I'm not even Christian...I'd call my self a Trinitarian Unitarian Universalist...somewhat of a contradiction I know...but if your interested enough, please lets chat =)

Anyway, besides my zeal for religion, I am very interested in Social Justice Issues. I am a flaiming liberal, and am not afraid to hide it. I try to be an advocate for those who I can be by virtue of the privilidge that society has given to me soley based on my race and gender. A coconspiritor is the true essence of the word (those who breath together). It's partly due to my understanding of white privididge that I identify as queer. On top of that, I am not heterosexual. Being hetero-/homo-/bi-sexual are all simply discriptions of sexual activity...and some simply identify as queer because they don't like being called gay...but I prefer queer because gay is a sexuality, queerness is a state of being. At least by the meaning that I have given and learned the definition, which may be wrong, if wrongness exisists...

So, I am a leftist liberal queer post-modern religious nut...an oddity.

For those of you that already know me will think this is a pretty fair assesment.
